Germany Qualifies for Last-16 with 2-0 Win over Hungary

Jamal Musial and Ilkay Gundogan Score for Hosts

Germany secured a place in the last 16 of the UEFA European Championship with a 2-0 victory over Hungary on Monday. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring for the hosts in the 24th minute, while Ilkay Gundogan doubled the lead with a penalty in the 52nd minute.

Germany controlled the game from the start, and Musiala's goal came from a well-worked move. The Bayern Munich midfielder dribbled into the Hungary penalty area and fired a low shot past Peter Gulacsi.

Hungary had a few chances to equalize, but they were unable to find a way past Germany's defense. Gundogan sealed the win for Germany in the second half, after Hungary's Willi Orban was penalized for a handball.

The win takes Germany to four points from two games, while Hungary remains on one point. Germany will face Portugal in their final group game on Wednesday, while Hungary will play France.
