Germany Defeats Hungary 2-0
Germany secured a spot in the knockout stages of UEFA EURO 2024 with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Hungary on Tuesday. Jamal Musiala gave Germany the lead in the 15th minute, and Ilkay Gundogan doubled the advantage just after halftime. The win gives Germany six points from their two matches, while Hungary remain on zero points after two defeats.
Germany dominated the match from start to finish and could have won by a more significant margin. They had 70% possession and created numerous chances, while Hungary struggled to create any clear-cut opportunities.
Musiala opened the scoring with a well-taken solo goal. He received the ball on the left flank, beat two defenders, and fired a low shot into the bottom corner. Gundogan added the second goal in the 53rd minute with a simple finish from close range after good work from Leroy Sané.
Germany will face England in their final Group F match on Monday, while Hungary will take on Portugal.
